|Effective September 1, 2011, in order to qualify for a residential homestead exemption you must provide the following to the Appraisal District when submitting your application:
All three (residence, driver license / ID card and vehicle registration) MUST have the same address.

If you already have a Texas Driver License you can change your address online by going to the Texas DPS website (www.txdps.state.tx.us) or in person at one of the Texas DPS locations. To obtain a new Texas Driver License you will have to go in person to one of the Texas DPS Locations.
